...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT CDT TONIGHT...

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...Portions of south central and southeast Iowa, including
  the following counties, in south central Iowa, Appanoose, Decatur,
  Lucas, Mahaska, Marion, Monroe and Wayne. In southeast Iowa, Davis
  and Wapello.

* WHEN...Until midnight CDT tonight.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
  Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur
  in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may be
  flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - Rainfall has caused the soil to become saturated and smaller
    streams to reach and exceed bankfull in some instances. With
    additional rainfall moving into the area this afternoon and
    early this evening before ending, this could cause additional
    water issues.
